It's amusing to see how guys think they know what's inside a female's head better than we females do, and to think we all think and feel the same. Sure, some girls and women wear make-up to impress men and boys, but that doesn't mean we all do it for these reasons. I don't wear make-up on a daily basis simply because I can't be bothered to wake up an hour earlier than usual before going to work, but If I'm invited to a party, I'd like to decorate my face just like you guys will want to wear suits and make your hair, shave your beards and so on. Why are we even discussing this...? It's a waste of time and energy.
However, it is not just divisions within the CDU/CSU that Merkel’s personal power and popularity might be masking. Distressing attitudinal shifts also have occurred within German society. During the campaign, surveys revealed that up to 40 percent of German voters agreed with the AfD on issues such as immigration and how to deal with Germany’s past. The AfD is really Germany’s only opposition party on these issues, because all the other parties — the CDU/CSU, the SPD, the FDP, the Greens and even Die Linke — agree (with relatively minor variations) on these questions. Many voters who disagree with the CDU/CSU on these issues have stuck with the party anyway because they trust Merkel to safeguard stability and security. But if her popularity diminishes or she should step down, many of these voters might go for far-right (or left) parties, and political instability in the most powerful country in Europe would have immense consequences for the European Union, other European countries and other liberal democracies.
i haven’t seen many of these but i wholeheartedly agree with GREEN ROOM (his destroyed arm!!! OMFG!). i only just watched THE INVITATION for the first time the other night and it’s stayed in my head since i watched it. i knew something was up with the party’s hosts but then wasn’t sure but then was suspicious again then wasn’t etc. when the shit hits the fan i was like HOLY FUCK! very good movie!
i thought the spider scene in BASKIN was a more shocking moment than the rape was (but i guess both moments are not pleasant). lol. i’m going to try and watch THE WITCH tonight so i’ve avoided any and all spoilers for that film.
the scene in IN THE DEEP where the shark SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS violently swims by and bites/swims away with Claire Holt’s character in it’s mouth is a moment i still can’t get out of my head.
